Position Description:
Position Summary:
As a key member of the Finance Department, the Field Finance Manager will oversee field finance operations. Responsibilities include setting the strategic vision of the field finance function and ensuring it aligns with the priorities of the Corporate Controller. In addition, the position is charged with providing leadership to the Lead Business Managers, managing projects that align with the strategic vision and “ad hoc” projects based on dynamic business needs, identifying areas for operational improvement, and constantly driving cost reductions. Finally, this role is charged to ensure the ultimate compliance of all field finance operations. This position reports directly to the Corporate Controller.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Supervise multiple Lead Business Managers. (These are field leaders who oversee multiple employees at distribution centers in their Market Unit).
Develop a sustainable process for constant improvement within field finance operations. This includes the development of the Lead Business Managers, development of all other managers and administrative staff in field finance, and creating and executing a succession plan for all field finance teams.
Charged with the responsibility of field finance operations including, but are not limited to:
Payroll Processes
Route Settlement / Cash
Driver Over / Short
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Other
Manage and oversee process improvement projects.
Ensure that all goals for team, direct reports, and self are created and completed with approval of Corporate Controller.
Monitor, communicate and support adherence to internal control and consistent execution of standard business processes.
Coordinate and oversee the preparing and processing of multiple weekly and bi-weekly payrolls to include many union contracts.
Post payroll entries and funding weekly.
Generate monthly payroll reports for FP&A team.
Travel required up to 25%.
Other projects or duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
8 plus years of office experience with similar responsibilities in a related field (i.e., Finance or Management).
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
Proven people leadership skills.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Kronos Time System
Bilingual skills
SAP experience
