Position Description
The Finance Reporting Manager is responsible for the preparation and development of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting for the Refresco Americas business unit. This position will also consist of providing Ad Hoc financial analyses and data validation. This opportunity provides exposure to many functional departments, leading to a high-level understanding of all areas of the business. This role will have a heavy emphasis on process optimization, along with documentation. The responsibilities of this role are varied, creating a very challenging, dynamic and rewarding work environment. This position reports to the Senior Manager of FP&A.
The following are essential duties and responsibilities for this position:
Preparation of consolidated monthly financial analytics package with thorough explanations of variances to budget, forecast, and prior year for both P&L and working capital results for US, Canada, and Mexico operations. Leverage detail analytics performed by various finance departments to understand the overall impact to the bottom line.
Summarize business unit results into an executive summary presentation that succinctly explains the drivers of the financial results and major drivers of variance to budget, forecast, and prior year.
Coordinate preparation of the monthly Operating Board and Executive Board package, inclusive of both financial and non-financial results. Publish the monthly reporting calendar, collect submissions from various departments, and assimilate information into a cohesive board package that conveys a consistent message.
Oversee margin reporting for customers, products and packages, leveraging knowledge of the business to help the analyst develop robust explanations for variances in margin vs budget and prior months
Conduct in depth monthly analysis of revenue and cost of goods sold to determine key variance drivers to budget, forecast, and prior year
Analyze sales volume and mix trends throughout the month and determine impact to forecasted earnings for the period
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and budgeting processes, with focus on developing profitability models for customer, products, packages and plants
Support external audit requests related to revenue and margin reporting
Perform data mining for ad-hoc analyses and communicate findings to business management across all functional teams
Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization; drive integration with Mexico reporting team
Participate in systems implementation, data validation, & process re-engineering activities
Periodically support analysis of M&A initiatives
Education and Experience:
Undergraduate in Finance or Accounting required; CPA preferred
Five to seven (5 – 7) years financial business experience required
Demonstrated ability to develop analytical models, tools, and reports
Experience in financial and executive-level reporting
Skills/Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency in PowerPoint and Word is required; Power BI proficiency preferred.
Strong finance and analytical skills, with demonstrated critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to summarize large amounts of information and communicate succinctly
Strong team player who is able to work across multiple functions
Results-oriented with a sense of urgency, able to work under deadline pressures
Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
Adaptable to change
Ability to coach, develop and manage a team
Fluency in Spanish preferred
