Redbox is looking for a candidate to join its Financial Planning & Analysis team. This key Finance role will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting as well as ad hoc analysis. The role will be focused on building models and providing in-depth analysis to understand the factors driving revenue and expense. This position will provide meaningful opportunities to work on high exposure projects and to develop strong cross-functional relationships setting up the individual for future finance leadership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key contributor to the annual planning process as well as monthly forecasting, which includes frequent interaction with executives to construct revenue, product cost, and expense budgets
- Manage and streamline monthly forecasting and reporting: review and analyze monthly variance reporting vs. forecast, consult with executives regarding variances and institute action plan, lead and refine forecasting processes (with a focus on improving accuracy and analyst ownership), and maintain key models that feed analyses
- Conduct post-mortem analysis to determine trends and learnings
- Be a thought leader in understanding business drivers and performance
- Review and provide feedback on key models and processes
- Take a lead role in consulting with department leaders and assist in the preparation of business cases to be reviewed by executive leadership
- Various ad hoc business analyses to support decision-making, including presenting alternative strategies to current plans and modeling the impact of various strategic business decisions
- Perform other duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the business
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field is required
- 5+ years of work experience principally focused on Finance is required
- Experience working effectively with others and supporting the development of financial analysis skills
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Expert knowledge of Excel
- Ability to create complex financial models that enable decision-making
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, build consensus, and drive change
- Outstanding work ethic and ability to work independently
- Must be team-oriented and be able to adapt to changing requirements
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems (MS Dynamics preferred)
Pay range: $95,000 – $115,000 / year Pay is based on nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to experience, education, skill, and location.
