Tatum is engaged with a client in the hospitality industry, based in DFW who is in need of a Finance leader. The portfolio is largely made up of restaurants and two hotels. This company has a very good reputation, and the hospitality portfolio is performing very well. This person will have oversight for finance, accounting, treasury and a close relationship with Operations.

Leadership role and responsible for delivering and ensuring the integrity of the financial records and accounts of the business (month-end close, local and regional audited accounts), enforce financial controls, tax and finance related regularity requirement compliance and meeting due date, coordinate treasury and cash management matters.
Work with local management teams to ensure integrity of the financial records and in accordance with company’s accounting policies and operating manual.
Responsible for ensuring all local finance and accounting statutory requirements are met in timely manner eg: local audited accounts, corporate tax filling, etc. Keep updated on the local statutory requirements and accounting standards.
Working closely with the finance team to enhance the process flow for financial accounting and related matters.
Evaluate the Balance Sheets of each entity in the portfolio and raise the abnormalities to the Regional General Manager.
Financial Controls: Constantly review and ensure the entire local business and processes have adequate financial controls in place and where they are not, raise it with respective stakeholders to ensure they take action to implement adequate controls. Where material or needed, escalate these matters accordingly.
Perform cost review to ensure resources of the business are well utilized and costs are well managed.
Liaise with banks, appointed external accounting firm, external auditor, tax authority, and legal.
As finance business partner, work with the Regional General Manager and management to drive the financial performance of the business.
Prepare monthly regional management reports and perform variance analysis and commentary for the presentation for the financial performance of the business; anticipate and communicate and influence stakeholders to action.
Consolidate financial data, business KPls, and review and analyses monthly financial reports for all outlets within the portfolio. Work with local finance team and local management to ensure integrity of the financial numbers.
Work with team to prepare the annual budget, financial projections, CAPEX analysis, DCF analysis to support business development requirements.
Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree
CPA preferred but not a must
At least 5 years of recent working experience in the Hospitality / Hotel / Restaurant real estate field at a VP / Controller / CFO level will be required to be strongly considered for this position
Strong technical accounting competencies accounting, controllership and risk management skill
Leadership, managerial and supervisory, and good interpersonal skills are mandatory
Good energy, proven ability to pivot from one project or initiative effectively
Will be onsite 5 days a week
