What will be your daily pursuit?: Your daily pursuit is crafting local Montana favorites to fuel our guests in their explorations of the park and trips on the river!

What will you do in this job?:

• Produce high-quality hot and cold foods based on recipes developed by the Kitchen Manager
• There is not a “prep cook” or “dishwasher” position. Because our staffing is small; every person is trained to do every job and the daily duties will be drastically different day to day
• Organize prep station and cold line to ensure smooth and efficient flow
• Preparation of staff lunches for guides, frontline staff and drivers
• Label and date food returned from trips
• Prepare various salads in bulk that can be used on full day trips
• Prepare and pack deli lunches for full day fishing trips.
• Help prepare and pack food and utensils for full day raft trips.
• Prepare and pack food for dinner trips and help setup and prepare meals at the dinner site and pavilion.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstation, prep areas, and food storage in keeping with state and federal regulations for food safety
• Assist other team members where necessary
• Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:

• Culinary experience preferred, but not necessary (basic understanding of a propane grill & BBQing)- we are happy to train!
• Speak fluent conversational English with staff members and guests
• Be comfortable with face-to face interactions with guests and guides on a day-to-day basis and serve as the face of Glacier Raft Company’s kitchen on dinner trips
• A valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving company vehicles to transport food to various locations within a 5-mile radius
• Be willing and able to work solo or as part of a team
• Be willing to work morning & evenings shifts
• Be prepared and willing to work outside in ALL weather conditions
• Be committed to Safety First and the highest quality of cleaning & sanitizing standards
• Be organized with a great eye for detail
• Be kind to others and always bring your best
• Be a good communicator, always suggesting ideas and solutions
