Become the newest member of a digital marketing team of an Arlington, VA telecommunications company as a remote Email Marketing Specialist.

The Email Marketing Specialist is an immediate contract-to-hire opportunity. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing. The Email Marketing Specialist will work in concert with greater web marketing and corporate marketing teams to provide excellent customer service to the B2C and B2B marketing organizations.

Email Marketing Specialist Requirements:

• Digital marketing experience – with skills in building email templates, HTML coding, Photoshop and writing for the web.
• Run email marketing campaigns end-to-end, including planning, creative development, back-end set-up, deployment, and performance analysis across all company brands.
• Act as primary point of contact for email marketing to internal stakeholders.
• Understand goals, document requirements, help with asset development, execute and provide performance metrics.
• Help manage and maintain Email Marketing Master Calendar.
• Work with creative agencies and internal teams on developing compelling email marketing communications, including templates and landing pages.
• Write and optimize email HTML to ensure good rendering across email clients; assist in writing and editing email copy. Ensure clear UX and design consistency within brand guidelines.
• Understand data structure and list segmentation within the email marketing platform (Oracle Eloqua).
• Measure effectiveness of email marketing campaigns against major KPIs; prepare comprehensive reports and analysis. Present data to key stakeholders.

Email Marketing Specialist Requirements

• HTML coding and understanding of how coding for emails differs from coding for web is a must.
• Knowledge of CAN SPAM, Privacy Policy for email marketing and list management.
• Practical knowledge of email marketing Best Practices for template design and coding.
• Familiarity with responsive design, personalization, dynamic content and testing.
• Image editing skills (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign).
• Familiarity with Google Analytics.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Attention to detail is a must.
