Prestige Staffing is hiring for a Senior Corporate Accountant 3 in the Financial Reporting area of a large medical facility in South Carolina. Ideal could work remote, hybrid or on site. This could be a direct hire or contract to hire depending on the candidate and the qualifications. Pay is between $80-99,500 with excellent benefits.
Summary
Accountant III will report to the Corporate Finance Manager within a specific function of Corporate Finance. This position is in charge of maintaining monthly recording and analysis of a variety of balance sheet accounts of a high degree of complexity. Will include monthly reconciliation of accounts and contributing to month-end close and year-end audit.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferably Accounting
- Minimum of four (4) years work experience in a business-related area such as accounting, business, audit or finance OR Masters level degree or CPA and 2.5+ years of experience
- Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Solid working knowledge or Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Outlook software
- Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat software is a plus
- Medical or hospital based work experience is a huge plus
- General ledger experience working with complex accounting transactions
Responsibilities:
- Monthly preparation of the interim financial statements
- Preparation of monthly supporting schedules, including rollforwards for revenue and expenses, notes to the Income Statement and Balance Sheet, and presentations on operating and total margin.
- Regular maintenance of the general ledger account structure, including all worktag types (i.e., revenue or spend category, cost center, ledger account and funds).
- Summarize and organize workpapers on a consolidated basis as well as by market and/or facility, if necessary. Support and tick mark balances and the transaction detail level with appropriate documentation.
- Assist with the year-end audit. Submit workpapers within a timeline and work with the external auditors to provide additional support as needed.
