The General Manager is responsible for the assigned branch operations and management of branch personnel. Oversees the complete day to day operation of a branch and ensures the branch is working to optimize safety and quality measures. Works with state regional team to plan, develop and achieve business objectives to ensure growth is achieved, resources and assets are managed, and profit expectations are delivered. This position will be held responsible for team leadership, staff training and development, customer satisfaction and retention, service delivery, operational efficiency and new business development.

- Establish productivity, service and safety targets for routes and drivers
- Consistently achieve revenue and profit goals for the branch while protecting margin
- Establish and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business goals

- Ensure customer expectations and satisfaction are maintained; customer issues and complaints are addressed and resolved in a timely manner
- Responsible to recruit, hire, train and manage branch staff per established practices, processes, and company policies with assistance from the NPP Branch Services Team
- Coach, mentor, and performance-manage the branch team
- Hire and terminate branch employees as needed
- Cultivate a culture of Transformation by improving processes and being ready to adapt and improve always
- Communicate and help problem-solve roadblocks to NPP best practices
- Communicate and enforce NPP policies to the branch
- Manage the company fleet and facilities, with focus on safety, organization, and cleanliness
- Ensure employees are properly trained to perform their job duties safely and effectively
- Report to NPP management on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual metrics and goals as required
- Promote a safe work environment through overseeing safety committees, training, and verifying all safety concerns are addressed.
- Ensure compliance with all municipal and government regulations and company operations, safety, and quality standards
- Participate in special projects regionally and/or nationally
- Local travel required via company vehicle to customer locations to maintain high level of customer service
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Education, Licensure and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred or industry-related field experience required.
- 3+ years of home services industry experience is preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience with route management home service business.
- Experience managing a P&L is strongly preferred.
- 3+ years in people management is preferred
Competencies/Skills:
- Effectively lead and motivate others through coaching, mentoring, etc.
- Ability to read financial statements and manage them effectively
- Customer service experience for field services
- Strong personal and written communication skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to problem solve issues with practical solutions
- Build rapport and trust with customers and employees
- Ability to use information systems to conduct business, includes MS Office, enterprise systems (ERP), route management
- Valid driver’s license is required
Starting Salary for this position: $76,500/year with a quarterly bonus schedule above the base salary.
