Real Estate Controller/Property Accounting – Investment Manager

Prestigious Real Estate/Investment (Family Office) (Position located in West Palm Beach, FL) now seeks CPA for this entrepreneurial role. Seeking 6+ years Real Estate, Property Accounting & Yardi experience (Family Office experience a plus) Combination of financial controllership and investment transactional expertise with the ability to control entire family office as well as real estate portfolio. Oversee entire real estate/property accounting portfolio as well as all family office finances and strategize for the future. Responsible for diverse property accounting/reporting as well as cash management and analytical functions for both residential and commercial properties and all real estate investment entities. Position acts as an important contributor and advisor for President/CEO and CFO for this unique management role. Oversee all accounting in support of investments that span the capital structure. Communicate with CFO and real estate investment team. Provide accounting and financial reporting analysis as it relates to entire real estate portfolio. (Any lease analysis or CAM experience a plus) Responsible for cash forecasting, budget and strategic planning as well as variance analysis. Responsible for reviewing real estate taxes and related tax returns. Responsible for all property revenue and expenses. Generate property spreadsheets with tenant specific analytics. Act as solutions and policies and procedures expert. Work closely with outside auditors and IT division. Implement and improve existing accounting and financial controls and create more efficient processes. Ability to multitask, strong organizational and communications skills and attention to detail skills. (QuickBooks a plus.) MS Suite.
