Position Summary:
The Director of Finance oversees all financial aspects of the property’s multiple finance departments and assures compliance with all regulatory agencies and reporting requirements. This position reports directly to the VP of Finance.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Ensures compliance with all financial internal controls and State and Federal regulations;

2. Fully develops and manages operating and capital budgets;

3. Reviews all journal entries, financial statements, payables, chart of accounts, and licenses;

4. Develops, implements, and enforces operational procedures within the department(s);

5. Coordinates and assists with auditors (regulators, IRS, or other internal and/or external auditors);

6. Directs the preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification;

7. Oversees the preparation of company invoices;

8. Prepares monthly income statements for all departments and participates in monthly financial review meetings;

9. Prepares reports required by regulatory and taxing authorities; and

10. Maintains and submits required departmental reports to the VP of Finance.

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting plus two years’ experience as a Controller / Accounting Manager, six years of direct experience in Accounting and three years of supervisory experience. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Strong oral and written skills and a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs are required.
• Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas and to make independent decisions.
• Must be able to travel to all Company properties.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses, certifications, and indemnifications requisite to the successful completion of all essential responsibilities.
• Must meet or exceed all regulatory conditions stipulated for individuals holding this or similar positions.
