PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The FOAM Financial Leader leads the finance function and is a key member of the business’ leadership team. This is done in collaboration with Commercial and Operations leaders to maximize the short-term and long-term value of the assets, liabilities and investments. The position provides functional leadership for all aspects of finance including objective business insights, external financial perspective, asset management, timely financial analysis, and effective control infrastructure.

Span of Control : 1 direct report, Sr. Finance Analyst
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Driving the financial performance of the business segment
Leads actions in line with achieving targets, mitigating risk and prioritizing resource needs
Leads proactive development of contingency plans, productivity improvement, and correction actions to ensure financial results and shareholder value are optimized
Collaborate with the Commercial sales leaders to provide decision support through financial modeling, business case analysis and financial/management reporting
Assists in contract evaluation and negotiation, evaluates financial implications of specific business decisions/opportunities and advises management accordingly to ensure targeted financial performance achievement
Supports supply chain leadership in terms of relationship with vendors / customers and systematically addresses issues
Provides predictable business projections via sales/operations planning and financial forecasting
Strategic planning, operations planning and forecasting
Directs the development of the long-term strategic and annual operations plans, and ensures appropriate actions are in place for effective execution
Leads financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
Reporting & Analysis
Provides objective insights, timely reporting, effective analysis and overall finance support to ensure productive management reviews, financially based decisions. and proactive response to market conditions
Translates the strategic and operational plans of the business into communications to a broad-based audience including the Group President and leadership team, Executive Committee, Operating Committee, Board of Directors, and external investors
Manages P&Ls and working capital and effectively communicates results to leadership
Identifies risks and ensures accountable action plans are in place to mitigate them
Communicates results effectively to management and non-financial personnel
Provides in-depth analysis on variances to plan and forecast
Cross-functional leadership and team contribution
Work across organizational boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve plant, division or corporate objectives
Shares best practices across businesses divisions, i.e., process improvements, financial modeling and procedures changes
Aligns teams and resources in order to solve problems and drive results
Provides support to team members at plant, segment, and corporate level
Ensures global OC & Insulation perspective in collaboration with other business segments
Leading & Developing Talent
Creates an environment where talent is developed through effective performance management, talent evaluation systems and utilization of people
Grows and develops direct reports and/or other members of the finance team and other identified talent in their organization
Ensures succession plans are executed for focus roles

JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or relevant discipline a must. MBA, CMA, CPA preferred.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :
Operating in a range of economic conditions, i.e. expansion, contraction, stable economic conditions-forecasting, scenario planning, risk analysis and contingency development
Negotiating, developing and evaluating customer and supplier contracts
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :
Strong financial and analytical acumen with demonstrated analytical ability accompanied by knowledge of corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles-understands P&L and balance sheet dynamics
Demonstrated ability to teach and communicate in simple, impacting terms
Demonstrated ability to manage and control costs-effectively develops business cases and enrolls leaders at all levels in taking appropriate action
Develop an intimate knowledge of customers, competition, and the market and uses this knowledge to drive customer and product profitability decisions
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute strategic directions
Effective listening skills, with flexibility in approach to solutions
Makes decisions and commits to a course of action with appropriate information and recognizes uncertainty of success; weighs and manages risk in decision making; able to make decisions detrimental to a few but helpful to many
