Keeney has been a part of the Oatey family of companies since 2019 and is a critical part of our business. With three operations based in CT, NH, and GA, the Director of Finance will lead the accounting and finance functions for Keeney.
In this role you will lead the day-to-day accounting functions and supports Corporate Accounting & Finance by providing timely and accurate financial information related to the Company’s operations. In addition, this position supports corporate and local management by providing meaningful analysis of results and providing ad hoc financial data as requested.
Position Responsibilities
Provide support to Corporate Finance, Global Accounts Payable and Global Credit and Collections teams as needed.

Ownership of general ledger accuracy and interpretation of financial results for operations.
Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes including review/preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations and internal reporting.
Perform analytical reviews of operating results, variances and other accounting information to appraise and ensure the accuracy of reported financial information. Communicate results of such reviews with appropriate associates including members of the executive team.
Support corporate activities within budgeting, forecasting and treasury management as related to activities.
In coordination with the Corporate Accounting & Finance, support the annual audit and tax preparation processes.
Point of contact for department and cross functional questions related to finance activities.
Direct and manage assigned staff through selection, hiring, training, coaching, and counseling.
Lead projects as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience you’ll need to be successful
5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience leading or supporting accounting activities.
In-depth emotional intelligence: behavioral maturity, demonstrated trust and integrity, high ethical standards, interpersonal competence, and the ability to prevent, reduce and resolve conflict
Proven track record for leading, managing, engaging, and developing direct reports
In-depth written and oral communication skills; stand-up presentation and training skills.
Experience supporting manufacturing or similar operational accounting and finance
PC Computer Proficiency: Word, Access, PowerPoint etc.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Qualifications that can set you apart…
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX, JDE, SAP or other ERP systems preferred.
CPA preferred, but relevant experience will be considered
