Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Finance Assistant 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Clearfield, UT . Northrop Grumman is an industry leader in developing, integrating, and sustaining complex systems for the US Department of Defense.
Responsibilities include:
Setting up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system. Performs analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines. Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis. Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled. Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks. Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government. Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or (GED equivalent) or 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
Solid understanding of standard financial terms and concepts and have the ability to effectively apply them to job requirements
Have the skill and ability to perform complex tasks and be able to communicate effectively and clearly within a dynamic team setting
Able to develop solutions to complex problems and ensure solutions are consistent with organization objective
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with a DoD contract
FAR and CAS requirements
Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel
Salary Range: $20 USD – $33 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
