Hearst Looking for Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist at Dallas, Texas Full Time

Homecare Homebase is searching for an AR Collections Specialist to join our team. The AR Collections Specialist will participate in Homecare Homebase’s accounting activities and be an integral part of the accounting team. The Candidate will report to the Controller and will work with other members of the Finance team. This role involves collaboration with various internal and external partners, therefore strong communication skills and an ability to build positive relationships is essential. Key responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:

• Assist with recording, verifying, and posting payments received by the organization.
• Assist with ensuring timely and accurate generation of client invoicing
• Reconcile payments with accounts receivable ledger and prepare reports of delinquent accounts.
• Take collection actions following established guidelines based on the age and amount of the transactions and the type of account.
• May be responsible for ad hoc customer billing and responding to customer inquiries regarding invoices.
• Direct correspondence with key customer financial contacts regarding account status
• Apprise management of customer account status at semi-monthly collections meetings
• Serve as first level contact for any customer billing/receivables questions; escalate as necessary
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations in accordance with management expectations

We are looking for a talented, passionate individual who has at least 2 years of experience and have the following qualifications:

• Ability to interact effectively with multiple internal and external constituent groups
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be organized, have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Must be detail-oriented and organized
• Must possess problem solving skills
• Must be self-motivated and possess a high standard of professional ethics
• Proficiency in SAGE 300 a plus
• Proficiency in Oracle Fusion a plus

Education requirements: Four-year college degree preferred or an equivalent combination of some college and work experience.
