Position Summary:
The senior analyst will support all Decision Support activities and initiatives with exposure to cross functional teams and gain a deep understanding of the financial statements. This role is responsible for supporting financial initiatives (in flight and future), planning tools, and developing analytics solution that drive value for the business. In this position, the senior analyst will get a comprehensive experience of Corporate Finance through involvement with actuals, forecasting and reporting processes with the overall objective to embed analytical solutions into everyday decision support tools. The senior analyst will also be a key connector and work with various business stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Lead and/or collaborate with others to design and maintain analytical solutions and data systems; this includes trouble shooting, recommending solutions for issues, and other data-related problems.
• Establish and maintain appropriate infrastructure and systems to support analytical solutions and users.
• Design and build visualization tools with the goal of being integrated into a self-service platform across business stakeholders.
• Oversee data strategy to ensure rock solid financials and trust in data provided to stakeholders
• Collaborate with organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop standards for data governance.
• Act as the liaison between the business, analytics, and IT organizations to deliver tools and analysis to help drive the digital transformation in Finance.
• Train and coach finance users in adoption and implementation of analytical tools and address system issues identified by the business stakeholders.
• Provide analytics knowledge and support to the DS function.
Requirements and Minimum Education Level:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or similar field
• 3-5 years prior experience in Accounting / Finance
Skills:
• Proficiency with data analytics, Power BI, Oracle, SmartView, Microsoft applications, and SAP.
• Ability to analyze business processes, identify needs for analytics solutions, and convey those insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of process design and execution; ability to identify ways to integrate analytics solutions into existing business processes.
• Working knowledge of analytics governance processes, stakeholder management, and project management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams concurrently.
• Ability to analyze data, identify links between facts, ideas, and situations that have no obvious connection.
• Passion for solving complex data problems and generating cross-functional solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills, including training delivery.
• Be service oriented, attentive to detail and committed to achieving customer / company goals.
• Great at the basics (time management, results-focused, communication skills, organizational skills).
• Ideal candidate is results focused, a self-starter with strong initiative, naturally inquisitive, able to think independently and has a desire to make a difference.
