NAG Marine Looking for Staff Accountant at Norfolk, VA Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Weekly processing of employee timesheets
• Processing employee expense reports and credit card reconciliations
• Posting cash receipts/deposits from customers
• Preparing Customer invoicing
• Working on approval and setting up of new customers
• Project setup in SAGE for new jobs/awards
• Performing general ledger account reconciliations
• Performing analysis to support the business
• Assisting with month end close and preparation of financial statements

Knowledge And Abilities

• Able to effectively communicate with customers and vendors
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
• Detail and deadline-oriented, strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work alone and in teams.

Education And Experience

• Accounting degree
• Proficient in Office Suite
• Good communication skills
• Experience with SAGE software preferred
• Government Contracting knowledge a plus
• Prior experience in an accounting department preferred
