Job Description We are a fast growing CPA firm looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team. This person should have ambition to move up in the company.
Description:
- Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
- Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
- Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
- Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
- Report analysis and findings to management team
- Collect client financial information and transform into an organized and reconciled set of financial reports that can be used for business tax planning, tax preparation, and financial statements
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare month-end closings including the recording or adjusting journal entries
- Develop and cultivate professional client relationships
Qualifications:
- Must have Public Accounting Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred but not required
- 5+ years of recent accounting experience encompassing progressive scope and responsibilities
- Detail-oriented with strong communication, organizational, analytical, problem solving, client service, leadership and PC skills including Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop proficiency
- Ability to professionally lead accounting engagements, identify and resolve complex accounting issues, juggle multiple priorities, interact with clients and all levels of staff and thrive in a paperless office environmentPrevious experience in accounting or other related fields
