Finance Manager
Mower County is accepting applications for the Finance Department for the Finance Manager position. Starting wage is $42.9790/hour ~ $47.9932/hour or $89,396.28 ~
$99,852.84 annually dependent on education and experience. This is a full-time non-union position.
This is the top level accounting position that is responsible for the oversight of all county fiscal functions including but not limited to financial management and planning, establishing internal controls; advising directors, managers, and accountants on financial matters; ensuring integrity of assigned accounting programs; assisting in budget preparation; oversees accounts payable and supervising staff. Incumbents in this class are responsible for the outcome and performance of clearly defined objectives, have responsibility for the oversight of staff and resources, which includes supervising the work of staff and department budgets. Incumbent receives direction from Department Head or designee. Decisions made at this level are predominantly operational in nature, dealing with the oversight of clearly defined procedures and work methods.

Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; 6 years accounting or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and a valid Driver’s License or evidence of equal mobility. Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position.
