Responsibilities:
- Develop system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Preparing journal entries to ensure accuracy.
- Managing clients’ relationship.
- Provide tax savings strategies, and strategies to improve financial position.
- Training and mentoring junior staff.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Preparation of the annual tax reports for businesses.
- Compute estimated taxes owed by following tax code.
- Prepare simple to complex tax returns for individuals and businesses using ProConnect Tax
Software.
- Review tax returns prepared by Staff Accountants
- Help taxpayers by using their federal, state, and local codes and see to it that clients receive the maximum benefit permitted under the law of government.
Job Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA designation or in process of becoming a CPA.
- 5 years of Experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Software and ProConnect Tax Software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel in addition to basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to multitask and complete work in a timely manner.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
