Mighty Digits is an outsourced accounting and finance firm working primarily with startups while expanding our services to serve SMBs. We are dedicated to helping our clients scale by expertly managing their accounting and finance operations, allowing them to concentrate on their core mission – growing their company. Our comprehensive services encompass bookkeeping, accounts payable management, accounts receivable management, payroll management, taxes, and financial planning & analysis.
We currently serve over 40 companies each month, and our team of 25 professionals spans the United States and countries around the world. As we continue to evolve and expand, we are looking for a strategic leader who can help scale and grow our company to new heights while shaping our long-term vision.
About The Position
As the Chief Strategy Officer at Mighty Digits, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our firm, which primarily serves startups while extending our services to SMBs. In this fully remote position, you will work closely with the executive team (the CEO and Head of Finance & Accounting) and key stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that drive growth, enhance profitability, and position our firm for long-term success.
For the first 3 months, the focus of this role will be primarily on sales and business development as we expand our client base to include SMBs and potentially other verticals. You will also play a vital role in developing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy. During this period, you will collaborate closely with our Operations Manager and gradually assume responsibility for overseeing and refining our approach.
During the subsequent 3-month period, assuming a successful initial phase, the focus of the role will shift towards executing and refining the established strategy. This phase entails a broader scope beyond sales, encompassing key areas such as profit margin optimization, staff engagement, and operational enhancement. In close collaboration with our Operations Manager, you will work on initiatives aimed at improving overall organizational efficiency and implementing projects that offer significant financial returns. Our objective is not only to bolster our financial performance but also to fortify our organization’s structure, positioning us for sustainable growth in the future.
In the latter 6 to 12 months, the aim is to further enhance the role’s scope and responsibilities. This period focuses on preparing for future growth and expanding our capabilities, setting the stage for broader contributions within the organization.
