The Marketing Manager is responsible for the overall marketing strategy for Innovative and Lifelong Learning. This person will plan, coordinate, implement, and oversee an integrated and comprehensive marketing campaign to drive student enrollments.
The Manager serves as a thought partner to the AVP of Innovative and Lifelong Learning.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing plans and tactics to generate interest and demand for the designated portfolio of programs.
Plans will incorporate an integrated mix of traditional and digital strategies (such as online / web advertising, search engine marketing, direct (e)mail, radio, social media, campus fairs and events, corporate outreach, web content, etc.
The Manager will have expert knowledge and proven results developing and leading marketing initiatives and is tech-savvy and intuitive with ideas to reinforce and scale strategies.
The Manager will work in concert with the brand strategy of MSU Denver Marketing and Communications and collaborate with staff in those offices to ensure consistency in messaging.
I&LL’s primary audiences include potential new students and corporate partners.
Marketing Strategy (20%)
Leads marketing strategy development for I&LL’s portfolio of
products via innovative and integrated marketing campaigns; identifies and manages marketing budget
Manages, in collaboration with the AVP, strategic internal and external communication initiatives
Collaborates closely with University Marketing and Communications and the Classroom to Career Hub in production of campaigns
Leads the execution of targeted product-line marketing plans that include advertising on traditional, digital, and streaming platforms as well as traditional forms of marketing and that focus on our various key audiences, e.
g., potential new students, corporate partners
Manages the marketing budget to ensure financial optimization and that targets are met
Supports the AVP, including writing / editing materials, preparing background and briefing materials, and developing special communications
Researches and identifies new course / product development opportunities as well as opportunities to scale current offerings
Oversees community outreach endeavors with the goal of increasing awareness and support for I&LL’s programs and services.
Supervises I&LL marketing staff
Marketing implementation (35%)
Leads implementation of integrated marketing campaigns; responsible for executing, tracking, and reporting on these plans with an expectation of continuous assessment to improve results and conversions.
Creates content for various marketing materials in diversified formats (print, digital, video), including proofreading, error checking, fact-checking, and production project management
Manages vendor relationships
Reports to AVP on effectiveness of marketing campaigns; leads data analysis on marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effectiveness, make mid-course corrections, and to reach goals;
creates and maintains regular reports regarding campaign performance
Manages I&LL website; works closely with I&LL staff to update and maintain content on an on going basis
Represents I&LL at functions, meetings, and activities, including University-wide marketing meetings, campus open houses, etc.
Manages third-party vendor relationships
Digital marketing (25%)
Designs and oversees all aspects of I&LL’s digital marketing
Manages search engine optimization campaigns
Develops and monitors campaign budgets
Plans and manages I&LL’s social media platforms and presence
Prepares accurate reports on I&LL’s digital marketing campaign’s overall performance
Identifies the latest trends and technologies affecting the higher education industry
Works with your team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies.
Oversees and manages all other digital projects
Student outreach recruitment (20%)
Manages the inquiry-to-student communication plan for programs, assisting to draft compelling messaging through collaboration with director and the Student Success Manager
Design outreach strategies for students who inquire but who do not register or enroll
Oversees the strategic management of all student recruitment efforts to best position I&LL for growth in all areas
Performs other duties as assigned

This is a hybrid position designed to support flexibility with both in-office work, as well as some remote schedules.
Salary for Announcement
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $64,500 – $95,000 . The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, training, and qualifications.
