Manager of Finance & Human Resources
The manager of Finance and Human Resources is responsible for managing the financial and human resource departments. This entails reporting to the owner all financial reporting and analysis for three companies. Reviewing financial reports and developing and maintaining the accounting systems. Processing the bi-weekly payroll using third party software. Maintaining financial records and schedules for the annual audit review. Business insurance renewals and audits.
The position is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of Human Resources which include company benefits, employee relations, 401k compliance testing, EEOC reporting and other Human Resource administration. This position collaborates with the other team members.
Accountabilities:
Supervise accounting staff regarding financial statements, payroll, bank reconciliations, general ledger account reconciliation, bank reconciliation and various financial reports and analysis.
Oversees accounts payable and accounts receivable including daily sales journals
Develop and maintain accounting reports for management team
Helps with annual capital purchases and annual budgeting and analysis
Assist with the process of migrating from current accounting software to SAP Business One
Manages Human Resources Department
Human Resource reporting requirements – both internal and external
Manages and administers employee benefits
Works closely with upper management to provide reports and analysis
Monthly sales tax reporting for multiple states
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Finance/Accounting
Five years of both accounting and human resources
Understanding of general accepted accounting principles and audit work papers
Competencies:
Ability to organize and complete tasks/reporting in a timely manner
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus)
