- Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.

Job Description:
We Are:
Seeking an Accountant to join our General Accounting team. In this role, you will collect, record, summarize and report accounting transactions consistent with generally accepted accounting principles for healthcare and not-for-profit entities. You will work collaboratively with fellow accountants, senior accountants, and team leads. This team is currently remote.
You Are:

- Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances
You Will:
- Prepare monthly analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Ensure the accuracy of data in each account by researching the nature of recorded transactions, reviewing underlying supporting documentation (vendor bills, etc.) and preparing journal entries as applicable
- Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed
- Prepare financial information to be provided to the external auditors and other regulatory agencies
- Provide assistance to other teams in the General Accounting department by learning the day-to-day functions
You Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
- 1-2 years of experience in Finance is preferred, but new Finance graduates are welcome to apply!
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
