POSITION OVERVIEW
The SEO Analyst will assist in the day-to-day tasks and projects that support the execution of the SEO strategy across McCormick owned properties. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various cross-functional teams and agencies to ensure successful implementation of SEO optimizations and strategies. The person in this role will also help research and analyze data to develop relevant insights that inform and drive our business. The position reports to the SEO Manager and is part of a digital structure that supports global content development, production, and digital experiences for McCormick’s consumer brands and industrial businesses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver weekly search insights reports for US and Canada to identify relevant trends and provide proactive recommendations.
Create and publish new website content such as landing pages and articles.
Coordinate with external SEO agency to ensure that all optimizations are executed. This includes optimized page titles, meta descriptions, copy, and website content.
Perform ongoing keyword research based on trends, target audiences, patterns, and competitor analysis.
Identify and execute recommendations for SEO opportunities across owned platforms.
Coordinate with paid media team to ensure that all paid search pages are created and optimized to drive CPC efficiency.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2-3 years of digital marketing experience
Strong analytical skills and experience synthesizing data into information
Knowledge of SEO process and implementation, preferably within CPG
Experience with digital tools, including working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google Trends
Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
Ability to work collaboratively with both external vendors and agencies as well as internal Marketing and IT teams
Detail-oriented, deadline driven, and able to handle a high-volume workload
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and time management with on-time delivery is critical to success
The ability to find creative solutions to effectively and efficiently delivery the best solutions
Attention to detail is important to ensure brand integrity and consumer expectations are met
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with multiple brands with unique styles and tones of voice
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Javascript preferred
Some familiarity with SEO tools such as BrightEdge
Someone who is genuinely curious about how and why people search, knowledgeable about SEO best practices and trends, and enjoys the analytical and technical depths of the industry
