General Responsibility Statement :
In conjunction with the President and Director of Sales, this position develops marketing strategies and plans for both Maintainer Corporation of Iowa, Inc.
Responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives. Evaluates customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implements marketing plan changes as needed.
Oversees all marketing, advertising, and promotional activities.
Essential Job Responsibilities :
1. Assesses the overall current market conditions and develops marketing strategies tailored exclusively to Maintainer / MCB industry and distribution network.
2. Develops professional and technical product knowledge by learning Maintainer products, studying the competition, reviewing professional publications, and attending shows.
3. Demonstrates technical marketing skills and product knowledge of Maintainer product line and distribution channels.
4. Evaluates customer research, market conditions, and competitor data. Specifies market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by market-driven data.
5. Works closely with dealers, customers, and internal departments to drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, and solve problems creatively.
6. Participates in all continuous improvement programs by offering suggestions and showing initiative in areas within direct control.
7. Performs other duties as assigned by the President

Education, Reasoning ability, and or Experience :
A four-year degree (B.A. or B.S) from an accredited college or university and at least five years marketing management experience or equivalent combination of education / experience is required..
The ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Note : May forgo the formal education if individual demonstrates knowledge of over 8 years experience from past employment exposure.
Communication and Language skills :
Must have excellent people and communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, interpret statistics, and analyze data.
Ability to create content to a variety of different audiences. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.
Physical Demands :
Must be able to frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Frequently required to sit and use computer, handle paper work, also to stand and use hands and fingers to grasp and hold objects, tools and / or controls, likewise reach with arms and hands.
Other Skills and Abilities :
Demonstrates strong computer and keyboarding skills. Familiar with all Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Directly supervises marketing staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training and development of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance;
rewarding and disciplining employees; making salary recommendations; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
