POSITION SUMMARY
We have an exciting opportunity to join Lovelace Health System as an Accountant.
The Accountant is responsible for assisting in the month-end close and financial reporting process and performs other accounting duties related to cash as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Director, Controller, or VP Accounting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in month-end close process of the Ardent Resource Team nationwide.
- Prepare, review and analyze various cash-related journal entries for accuracy and reasonableness.
- Reconcile balance sheet, cash and bank accounts and perform analytical reviews of monthly activity.
- Assist in the preparation of schedules for annual audit performed by external auditors.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Ability to provide accurate and efficient service under the stress of constant deadlines.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Ability to work on different projects at one time.
- Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the Company.
- Ability to work independently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required; BS Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience required; healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience with Lawson G/L Module and/or Oracle PBCS preferred
- Strong Excel skills including creating pivot tables required
