We are seeking a talented Lead Eengineer who enjoys holistic system thinking to support system design and requirements (SDR) through the architecture, development, integration and verification activities.
This role will require onsite support Full time at Lockheed Martin’s Missiles and Fire Control facility in Orlando, FL working a 4/10 Flex schedule. This position requires a current DoD Secret clearance investigated within the last 5 years or a CV date within 5 years.
What You’ll Do:
Perform system architecture analysis using tools like Rhapsody and Cameo to assess and capture system use cases, interfaces, timing, and designs
Work with a team of system engineers and interdisciplinary subject matter experts to analyze and document the system requirements in DOORS
Conduct CONOPS/CONEMPS development and system trade studies
Assist with test planning and documentation to ensure verification artifacts are captured for Functional Configuration Audit (FCA)
Define the MBSE strategy to align with future business capture opportunities and will marshal resources across the program’s Engineering & Technology organization to transition the product line to a state of compliance with new open systems architecture standards.
Support the Program Area Systems Engineering Integration Team Lead and sub-discipline architects in establishing a highly commonized functional and physical system design and architecture that reflects stakeholder needs, meets or exceeds current and anticipated system requirements, and is tailorable to Legacy as well as next generation fixed wing manned/unmanned platforms.
Support the M&S team in the design and architecture of digital twins across the product line.
Serve as the program area liaison to functional SME’s in support of Systems Engineering design assurance reviews and independent technical assessments.
Champion systems engineering rigor and product development process compliance throughout the product lifecycle for all current and future contracts.

Basic Qualifications:
Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, and Cameo
Product design experience in the context of modular open systems architectures (eg WOSA, MOSA, OMS)
Demonstrated ability to support cross-functional teams through major technical reviews throughout the acquisition lifecycle (ITR, SRR, PDR, CDR)
Practical system design experience that includes CPI deployment schemes which satisfy program protection requirements
Strong customer engagement skills; ability to communicate technical concepts to external stakeholders
Current DoD Secret clearance investigated within the last 5 years or a CV date within 5 years.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with air combat mission area and fire control technologies
Familiarity with infrared detection technology, gimbaled systems, and imaging sensors
Experience developing tactical flight software (ie, Embedded C+ deployed to Linux OS)
Proficiency drafting and shaping external and internal ICDs
Familiarity with high fidelity modeling and simulation design and architectures
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
