This job is 100% onsite in Jessup, Maryland (no work from home option)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Aiding in month end closing
Supporting accounts payable and receivable processing requirements as needed
Assisting with monthly reconciliations, journal entries and other general ledger duties as assigned Ability to multi-task and reevaluate priorities when necessary
Assist and provide information to independent auditors at year end and provide support for preparation and filing for sales, use and property taxes
Support their systems team on their projects/jobs from a financial perspective
Process Corporate credit cards monthly
Calculate and book sales commissions monthly Ad Hoc reports as requested
Assist the accounting department in accounting projects/tasks as needed
Assist the accounting department with administrative tasks as needed
Requirements Preferred
4+ years experience general accounting experience Preferred
4+ years office administrative experience
Minimum of Bachelors Degree in accounting
Problem Solving Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions
Must have excellent written oral and communication skills with a customer service focus
The ability to act and operate independently daily with minimal daily direction
Need to be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees
Detail Oriented Data entry experience
Experience in MS Office Experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus
Must be able to sit in front of and use a computer for long periods of time
