Position Summary:
The Treasury Management Specialist is responsible for managing and processing transactions to ensure that all of the Kraus-Anderson (KA) entities are at their optimal cash positions. Communicates on a daily basis with other internal stakeholders and transfers cash as needed. This position is responsible for oversight of and system administrator for all KA-held bank accounts; prepares and enters transactions into the bank portals daily.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communicates with KA Financial Services Group (KAFSG) staff to ensure transactions are approved and posted to proper KA entities’ accounts.
Creates a daily cash sheet, sets-up funds transfers within appropriate online banking software, and communicates the daily transfers with team members.
Ensures that checks and deposits are appropriately prepared and processed.
Processes outgoing wire transfers on a daily basis for all KA entities.
Provides training on third-party bank software for KAFSG team members and other internal stakeholders as needed.
Serves as the primary system administrator for KA’s third-party online banking systems.
Serves as the primary system administrator for KA’s third-party document retention scanning system.
Monitors bank portals for Positive Pay and Automated Clearing House (ACH) Positive Pay exceptions and follows up as required.
Reviews fraud protection measures on all KA bank accounts; recommends and implements fraud protection changes / enhancements as directed.
Reviews bank treasury services for all KA bank accounts; recommends changes, efficiencies, and cost saving measures as appropriate.
Stays up-to-date on new features that KA banking partners offer; makes recommendations and implements new products as directed.
Provides support and troubleshoots banking problems for internal partners in KA Construction Company, KA Realty Company, and KA Insurance.
Sets-up all new KA bank accounts.
Maintains current list of bank accounts.
Analyzes the monthly bank account analysis statement and manages the allocation of bank charges to all applicable KA entities on a quarterly basis.
Provides miscellaneous administrative support to KAFSG team members as directed.
Maintains KAFSG document retention policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High School diploma or GED
Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as online bank portals/software.
Excellent math skills
Quick learner and willingness to learn new systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to recognize when action is required and assume the responsibility needed to address the situation.
Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Ability to possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Previous experience and understanding of banking processes and systems
