Office and warehouses are located off IL Route 41, which makes the commute easy from surrounding towns. Summary / Objective : The Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role as the head of the marketing department, owning all aspects of its direction.
Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and overseeing strategic marketing initiatives. This leadership position involves collaborating with a dynamic team, crafting effective campaigns, and working closely with our marketing firm to execute tailored strategies, leveraging market insights to enhance brand presence and achieve business objectives.
Essential Functions : Collaborate with internal sales teams and external marketing consultants to support overall sales and marketing initiatives.
Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies, including creative development, branded content, website alignment, and SEO planning.
Manage inventory and coordinate new material creation, ensuring accuracy and currency of sales support materials. Research prospective customers and make recommendations for marketing and sales leadership.
Oversee ecommerce site development and expand digital and social media presence. Develop and expand catalogs, manage invoices for various marketing services, and plan trade shows, conferences, events, and meetings.
Communicate campaign deliverables, objectives, and timelines to the sales team, providing instructions for promotion or use.
Collect input and direction from the sales team for creative development and execution with external marketing partners.
Ensure website alignment with new catalogs and maintain fresh and compelling branded content. Own internal marketing efforts, driving programs to completion in a timely manner.
Provide feedback on creative work and communicate back to external marketing partners. Required Skills / Abilities : Proficient in SEO / SEM techniques and tools.
Solid computer skills, including MS Office, web analytics, and Google Adwords. Strong organizational and project management skills are essential.
Self-motivated with the ability to independently drive projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with outstanding copywriting and proofreading abilities.
Preferred Education and Experience : Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent experience. Previous work experience as a marketing manager.
Familiarity with the industry is a plus. Supervisory Responsibilities : Lead and train a small team. Physical Requirements : Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Adjusting or moving objects up to 15 pounds. Ability to make repetitive movements, including moving of the wrists / and or fingers, bending, or squatting.
