PURPOSE

To oversee all accounting and reporting duties related to outside growers as well as the daily processes of accounting for all products, including supervision of GA department staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Learn all aspects of outside grower accounting, including details of grower contracts to ensure growers are paid timely. Work with seed inventories including, monthly entries, physical inventory reconciliations, etc. Learn all daily processes from harvest to facility pack outs. Maintain all files necessary for grower reporting and assure all accounting entries, reconciliations, and reports are completed as required. Interaction with Outside Grower Farming Personnel, Payroll, Accounts Payable and various Farming departments as required, working with personnel and information originating from these departments.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a four-year college degree in Accounting with three or more years of experience in Ag and Farm Accounting.
• Must have experience with sql based databases a plus, including data mining and report generation using Tableau or equivalent BI tool.
• Must have a professional demeanor and attitude.
• Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must possess strong computer skills and be an intermediate to advanced user of Excel (proficient with vlookup/hlookup, sumif functions and pivot tables).
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact with all levels of employees, including company management in a professional manner.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
• Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen and background check.
