This leadership position will collaborate with the commercial sales and operational business teams along with the financial leadership teams to support Direct Store Delivery (DSD) for the Southern California Region. The Finance Manager is responsible for providing financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of the organization. Responsibilities include weekly and monthly financial reporting, creating and interpreting financial models. Advanced analysis to assist with business planning, forecasting and achieving annual financial plans. The role also includes frequent interactions with Accounts Payables, Receivables, Human Resources, Payroll, Tax, Sales, Marketing, RGM, Operations and many other cross functional teams. The successful candidate will bring a cross disciplinary combination of analytical and communication skills to drive business results while maintaining a thorough and rigorous system of analysis and forward thinking.
Position Responsibilities:
Build financial modeling to highlight savings or growth opportunities within Labor, Inventory loss, Top Line Sales, and Operational Productivity. Must be able to interpret financial modeling outcomes and make applicable recommendations to business partners to drive positive financial outcomes.
Actively manages and develops a staff of 2 Senior Financial Analysts. To include teaching the technical, analytical and problem-solving skill set needed for next level readiness.
Responsible for building key components and coordination of the Annual Operating Plan. This includes the building of Operating Expenses from the ground up to include Labor, Benefits, Utilities, Vehicle Mileage, Materials & Supplies and other General Operating Expenses. The Finance Manager owns this process along with support from Senior Financial Analysts.
Develop business relationships with Sales and Operations at branch and functional area levels. Responsibility includes all levels of leadership and is not limited. Candidate also seeks to develop relationships that are new or not yet traditionally explored.
Provide business insights, commentary and presentation material for Region Leadership Team meetings, operational reviews, management meetings & financial reviews. Ability to facilitate these financial reviews and efficiently articulate results.
Work closely with the Region Finance team on General Ledger month-end close, financial reporting, A/R, A/P Payroll, Risk and other departments with all aspects of regional accounting/financial requirements and ensuring the P/L is accurately stated.
Produce accurate and timely financial information and analysis. To include embedded processes to catch potential formula or statistical inaccuracies. Promote an environment of strong internal controls and process efficiencies.
Routinely meet and visit operations to better understand the voice of customer and conduct process observations to continuously improve financial support to your commercial and operational customers. Periodic shoulder to shoulder trade tours with Sales Management to better understand trade level obstacles and market challenges.
Continuously improve metric and reporting to foster the development of Lean Daily Management principles and practices within our distribution centers. Ensure all metric and reporting is value added and links back to achieving our annual operating plans. Rationalize metrics and work with Transformation teams to continue the mindset of eliminating waste/cost.
Total Rewards
Salary Range: USD 91,300 – USD 167,790
Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors

Requirements
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field is required
5-7+ years of related experience to include prior experience with developing people.
Ability to build detailed financial models in Excel and use analysis to impact Business Partner decision making.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP/Business Warehouse, Salient and Planning Analytics.
Proven communication skills with the ability to present data and analysis in front of large groups and senior leadership.
