The individual will initially focus on analyzing mortgage loan data, generating bond analytics, monitoring mortgage prepayment performance, and assisting with trading and portfolio optimization strategies.
Job Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Math, Statistics, or Computer Science from an accredited institution (graduate degree a plus)
Self-motivated and results-oriented
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects, sometimes under tight deadlines
Ability to effectively communicate with multiple levels of the organization
Ability to quickly develop an understanding of systems and technology
Strong knowledge of bond math, fixed income cash flows and mortgages
Preferred 2-3yrs experience in working with mortgage data sets, data mining and analytics
Preferred 2-3yrs experience in creating complex queries using SQL or SAS
