Position Summary:
As the Director Finance you will be responsible for successfully managing all accounting, controlling, financial planning, and analysis functions for Flight Services. You will be collaborating closely with the operational VP’s in the Flight Services division, as well as with the US FP&A head to ensure that the finance function in Flight Services is globally aligned and executed effectively. This is a hybrid position out of our location in West Palm Beach, FL.
Main Responsibilities:
Perform all general ledger accounting functions, through the monthly closing and preparation of operating statements.
Prepare month month-end financial reports for Flight Services operations leaders and global finance reporting.
Supervise and direct finance functions for Flight Services area.
Prepare annual budget and monthly forecasts.
Analyze and report variations from budget and forecast.
Create monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasts.
Perform contract reviews and approve new customer and vendor contracts.
Manage accounts receivable collections, monitor potential collection issues and work a cross internal departments to eliminate bad debt risks.
Assist with implementation of new accounting and operational software.
Assist with standardization of policies across all Flight Services LOB’s.
Manage insurance policy negotiations and claims reviews.
Oversee FET, sales and use tax as well as other local state returns.
Continuously review existing financial processes to identify and recommend improvements.
Monitor and implement internal controls to protect company assets.
Enforce operational adherence with company Delegation of Authority (DoA) and compliance guidelines.
Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network.
Other duties may be assigned, as needed.
Prepare ad hoc reports and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:

Highly sophisticated understanding of accounting
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or similar from an accredited university
Master’s degree and/or CPA are preferred
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in related role or field
Experience working with an ERP accounting system (SAP preferred)
Ability to work autonomously and in high pressure environment
Well organized, detail oriented, and acc accurate
Strong oral and written communication skills
Flexibility in responding to unanticipated situations
Proactive approach to problem solving, analytical mind
Able to travel as needed
Must be able to pass a ten-year background check and pre-employment drug test.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently.

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
