Experience working in a commercial role in an organization, including previous senior management experience.
Extensive IKEA business experience in a management role, or high-volume retail management and/or home furnishing experience.
Proven record of consistently meeting agreed budgets and goals, and working on plans over a number of years.
Setting and implementing action plans and providing clear direction and following up goals.
Proven record of successful leadership in a people-centric organization including developing people and organizations.
What you’ll be doing day to day
In this 6-24 month leadership development program, you’ll be spending your time learning everything there is to know about managing an IKEA Retail store. You’ll then be fully prepared to step into a Store Manager role.
Securing a consistent, seamless and positive customer experience through all channels.
Developing, leading and delivering a sustainable long-term plan for growth, visitations and profitability.
Securing high-performing teams and leaders who inspire every co-worker to recognize their contribution.
Positioning the IKEA Brand as the leader in life at home through relevant, affordable, functional, inspiring and sustainable home furnishing solutions in all media and channels.
Increasing visitors to the IKEA store and website as well as the conversion rate.
Optimizing store operations to reduce waste in every area to the benefit of customers, co-workers and the business.
Challenging the IKEA organization to improve ways of working to identify and develop new business opportunities.
Living the IKEA values and nurturing a strong culture that inspires co-workers to extraordinary achievements.
Identifying and developing the co-workers to secure succession planning.
Ensuring the store works ethically and in compliance with internal regulations and external laws including legislation relating to risk, the environment, health and safety.
