Description:
This role will support the Director of Finance in implementing and overseeing all aspect in the finance department and identify opportunities to increase revenue and maximize profitability of the hotel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and review daily and monthly P&L.
Prepare and review monthly reconciliations.
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements. Investigate, review, and analyze the variance explanations, involving Department Heads in process.
Work with respective Department Heads to put procedures in place as well as cost control and revenue enhancement.
Interview, train, and evaluate performance of staff.
Manage and oversee hotel on-site accounting/finance functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely, and accurate reporting for the hotel.
Assist with managing and ensuring SOX and PCI compliance.
Assist Director of Finance with completing year-end audit process. Review and approve all reconciliation and audit paperwork. Participating in and respond to auditor’s request to ensure total hotel compliance.
Assist Director of Finance with special reporting and analysis projects.
Qualifications:
Hospitality or Finance degree preferred
3 years or more of progressive Finance experience, preferably within Hyatt
Experience supervising Finance staff members
Prior Oracle, ADP/Enterprise, Kronos, and Hyatt systems (Opera & Symphony) expertise desired.
Active user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
Must have excellent organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills
