An Assistant Manager is responsible for implementing workflow procedures based on direction from the company’s General Manager. Their duties include supervising employees during day-to-day tasks, providing customer support in escalated situations and managing the overall workflow of a workplace.
Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:
Take ownership of our Express Start Breakfast. This includes: training new staff members, inventorying and ordering breakfast items, and assisting with breakfast, as necessary.
Ordering and inventory of supplies for the housekeeping and guest services departments.
Defining and implementing housekeeping objectives and procedures, such as leading projects and deep cleaning.
Ensuring that all storage areas are kept clean and organized, especially housekeeping storage areas.
Verifying Quore information, namely associated with preventative maintenance.
Supervising staff and all front desk activities including bookings, appointments, phone calls and emails.
Be on call for front desk questions when the General Manager is unavailable.
Cover front desk shifts (including AM, PM and Night Audit), as necessary.
Perform Monthly AR for all direct bill accounts, including Rewards Night Reimbursements.
Verifying shift checklists, notating any deficiencies discovered.
Perform administrative duties such as filing and updating records, sending weekly bills, ect., as needed.
Serve as Guest Experience Champion for the property, including verifying that brand training coursework has been completed.
Tending to guests’ complaints and questions and providing exceptional customer service.
Managing the lost and found program for the facility.
Help with events as contracted by the Sales Department, as necessary.
Hiring in conjunction with the General Manager, training staff and managing published shift schedules.

Pay: $40,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
