Coretek Looking for Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) at Detroit, MI Full Time

• Financial Strategy Development: Work closely with the CFO and executive team to develop and refine the company’s financial strategy, aligning it with our business objectives and growth plans
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, ensuring accuracy, comprehensiveness, and alignment with strategic goals. Monitor actual performance against forecasts and identify deviations, providing timely analysis and recommendations
• Financial Reporting: Assist CFO & Accounting Manager in the development and maintenance of a monthly, quarterly & annual financial reporting package, including quarterly board reporting. Utilize Power BI or other data visualization tools for internal management reporting as well
• Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate business scenarios, investment opportunities, and potential risks. Utilize these models to guide resource allocation and strategic decision-making
• Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess the performance of various business segments, products, and projects. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and drive performance improvements
• Variance Analysis: Analyze monthly and quarterly financial results, highlighting variances against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods. Provide insightful explanations for deviations and collaborate with business units to implement corrective actions as needed
• Strategic Planning Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives, providing financial insights and recommendations that align with long-term objectives
• Ad-hoc: Assist the CFO and broader executive team with ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
• Proven experience (7+ years) in corporate finance (FP&A preferred), with a track record of success in a leadership role. Public accounting experience will be considered as well
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear and actionable insights
• Exceptional proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment
• Proficiency in Excel and financial software and visualization tools, specifically PowerBI, Salesforce & FinancialForce
• Experience in the IT Services industry is a plus
