Post daily deposit by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
Enter warranty payments from manufacturer weekly and assign to appropriate claim
Enter miscellaneous receipts (i.e., state refunds, overpayments, etc.).
Review A/R for all stores and departments (aging, timeliness of collections, bad debts) and send to department managers on a monthly basis.
Process write-offs as necessary
Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries
Credit Card Statement Processing
Develop, implement, and maintain process for credit card receipt tracking and processing
Manage the monthly credit card processing cycle
Collect receipts from all credit card holders
Reconcile credit card statements with receipts
Apply expenses to general ledger accounts
Pay monthly credit card statements
Watch for credit card spending trends, abuse, etc. Report to management as necessary.
Payroll
Update payroll records with changes to records (i.e., levies, garnishments, etc.)
Run time clock reports from IDS (Integrated Dealer Systems) to be used for time entry into Paylocity (the payroll system). Review reports to check for inconsistencies. Contact managers to resolve discrepancies.
Enter data from various reports (i.e., time clock, commissions, expense reports, etc.)
Prepare bi-weekly payroll for processing including double checking changes for accuracy (Controller to review and submit)
Maintain commission accounts for all sales consultants. Email bi-weekly commission reports to appropriate staff.
Keep alert to payroll trends (i.e., high overtime, low benefit deductions, taxes incorrect)
Requirements:
Experience in RV or Automotive Dealership Accounting department, required
Experience with Integrated Dealer Systems (IDS) software, preferred
Experience with Lightspeed software, preferred
Proficient with processing payroll with Paylocity
Experience with day-to-day Accounts Receivable processing
Accounting degree
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to analyze information and put analysis into results
Strong communication skills
Computer and data entry skills
