Attention: This position is suitable for remote work, with as-needed travel to the company’s Chicago headquarters and occasional travel to other office locations or as needed in support of the Commercial team’s objectives (less than 10%).
About The Role
We are looking for a Director of FP&A Supply Chain to join our mission-driven, enthusiastic team in order to serve as the primary finance partner providing finance & business support to the company’s Company’s VP of Operations and Supply Chain team leaders including Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing Process Development, and Fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of finance experience and will be ready to lead this job with energy, knowledge, skill, and a no-task-too-small attitude.
This position will report to the Vice President of Finance and will work cross-functionally with the entire team. This role will work with the Supply Chain team on a daily basis to drive its financial planning & analysis (FP&A), business intelligence, budgeting, financial forecasting, management reporting, and strategic planning activities.
Responsibilities
Provide finance support, analysis and insight to all Supply Chain team leaders and stakeholders.
Partner with business leaders to define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and assess the financial and operational performance of the Supply Chain unit.
Provide the primary finance support to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, including developing methods for measuring and forecasting supply, developing effective data-driven inventory planning strategies, analyzing contract manufacturer performance, and incorporating changing market conditions into the Company’s analyses.
Build & maintain reports and analyses using the Company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Business Intelligence (BI) tools to support various planning and reporting activities including weekly projections, monthly reforecasts, annual budgets, and long-range strategic plans.
Evaluate, create, or modify methods and procedures to improve report content, accuracy, ease, and efficiency of access.
Analyze weekly production and inventory actuals & projections, including week-to-week changes and variances. Assess forecast accuracies and drive process improvements.
Coordinate compilation of monthly projections for internal and external use. Analyze forecast accuracies to identify process improvements.
Orchestrate the annual planning process including target setting, scheduling milestone reviews, and development of materials for Board of Directors presentations.
Oversee long-term strategic planning efforts and modeling for the Supply Chain team.
Partner with Accounting team to design, define, improve, and automate management reporting as business needs evolve.
Partner with business leaders to develop and maintain BI solutions to automate critical business information such as inventory forecasts by Customer and/or by SKU.
Coordinate training sessions to keep business users current on the usage of and changes to the ERP and BI platforms.
Interact with executive and senior management across the organization and with external constituencies (audit, legal, government) as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of finance experience.
Strong preference for experience in the produce industry, agricultural business, grocery/food retail, or similar food-based business.
Experience designing, building, and maintaining reporting using contemporary business intelligence tools.
Skilled with accounting, finance and business relevant computer programs and applications
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of project management principles, including the ability to manage projects, working through others, with tight timelines and multiple, potentially overlapping, priorities.
Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues, staff, and external contacts, and to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a professional team environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, possessing excellent organizational skills and a thorough attention to detail.
Ability to interface, influence, and work with a wide variety of individuals at all levels within the organization.
Ability to work well with all departments and diverse personnel.
B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
M.B.A. (preferred but not required).
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
Spanish speaking skills (preferred but not required).
