The Role
This role will manage a specialized team, and oversee the new client onboarding process for the department. Responsibilities include conducting client interviews to help them understand the scope of the services provided, educate accounting and tax best practices, and guide through the fundamentals of the accounting software and support software set-up.
What You’ll Be Doing
Select, coach, develop, train, lead and manage performance of a team comprised of specialized roles
Conduct client interviews to onboard new clients to platform
Effectively outline the client journey to client audience, setting expectations for needs and deliverables and ensuring timely completion of the onboarding process
Support clients through the technical aspects of setting up bank feeds, accounting software connections, import automation, payroll import, vendor creation, and applicable logins
Develop and understanding of small business clients’ business models and deliver high quality services to various clients in multiple industries
Ensure the completion of clients’ beginning accounting balance set up – Initial business purchase transaction, account creation and classification, payroll entries, vendor creation, reporting dimensions, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, etc.
Lead communication process with clients from the point of sales finalization to routine maintenance hand-offs
Maintain consistent accounting onboarding policies and procedures across clients and team members
Act as liaison between Client Success team and Accounting and Tax team to ensure the uniformed communication about the products, policies and service expectation are delivered to clients, and identify any issues or concerns
Additional Functions
Create and maintain scalable workflow system by collaborating with various teams within the organization
Create and maintain policies and support-material that detail best practices for accounting and tax operational activities
Identify problem areas, devise and deliver solutions to enhance the quality of service and to prevent future problems.
Participate in various special projects, including collaboration with internal departments
Perform other duties as required
Requirements
Must be 18 years of age
7+ years of small business accounting and tax services experience required
Previous experience communicating with small business owners required
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required
QuickBooks Online (QBO) certification preferred
Familiarity with various applicable third party QBO add-on systems such as Bill.com, SaaSAnt, and Avalara preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred
Superior verbal and written communicator who knows how read their audience. IQ and EQ.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft suite including excel, outlook and teams
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines
Should be self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently
Team player and ability to roll up your sleeves and take initiative without being asked
Ability to work in an autonomous environment where you can be a self directed, independent worker

Must meet work from home requirements to qualify
Complete continuing education based upon current certifications

The wage for this position is $85,000 – $95,000 per year
