Job Summary :
Our client’s Division of First Citizens Bank has evolved from a local private bank with investment management capabilities to a national wealth management, trust, and private banking company.
To support this change, Our client is seeking a marketing events leader who can take our current program to the next level and drive business results.
This Events Manager role is well-suited for a detail-oriented team player, who enjoys managing both the strategy and execution of events, sponsorships, and corporate partnerships.
This role requires collaboration with internal business partners, external events partners as well as Marketing colleagues.
The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and written communication skills, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be able to work well against deadlines.
Job Responsibilities, Duties, and Accountabilities :
Strategic Direction :
Design a strategic framework for corporate events that supports the business plan.
Create a plan to identify a “strategic sponsorship or partnership program that aligns with Boston Private’s values and provides brand equity that Boston Private can leverage in key markets.
Approach the Events, Sponsorships, and Partnerships function as an opportunity to drive qualified business leads pipeline to help close new business opportunities.
The Events Manager collaborates with Content and Program Managers to ensure that thought leadership and subject matter experts (SMEs) are integrated into events whenever possible.
Collaborate with Public Relations Manager when there are press, speaking, and / or award opportunities at events.
Manage the events calendar and distribute it to business colleagues on a regular cadence. Communicate regularly with regional leaders to learn how they are allocating their regional sponsorship allotments.
Establish an annual budget and manage it accordingly.
Ensure events align with and support advertising and branding objectives while working alongside PR.
Manage and optimize the use of marketing channels for different stages of the events lifecycle as they pertain to distribution and engagement (email, social, web, etc).
Tactical Event Execution Management :
Plan client-related and business development events, conferences, and seminars
Support business development staff in planning event format, venue selection, menu selection, invitations, name tags, email invitations, and surveys.
Coordinate with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during event planning
Manage event set up, tear down, and follow-ups
Establish standardized event procedures (e.g., creative templates, event checklists, etc.)
Build and adhere to an event budget to avoid project overruns
Track event key performance indicators in Salesforce and identify items to work on for future events
Contribute events-related social media content to drive awareness through digital channels.
Analyze and measure event effectiveness to optimize results.

7+ years of related experience
Proven written and verbal communications skills and attention to detail
Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Capable of working with internal and external teams and partners
Experience coordinating corporate events
Familiarity with event registration software; Experience with in-person and online event management
Knowledge of Salesforce CRM system and Splash a plus
Bachelor’s degree in business management, hospitality management, marketing, or related areas
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under strict deadlines
Ability to travel
Note :
Needs to be able to go into the office once a week or come in as needed.
