Role Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated, intellectually curious, detailed-oriented Finance Telco Cost Team Manager that will thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for analyzing Cost of Revenue (COR) related billing and operational reporting in order to reconcile our current COR expense performance and to help drive forecasting. Ensure the FP&A team understands financial impacts of all inconsistencies identified by Telco Audit, Accounting and Ops.
Job Scope/Supervision:
Lead a team of individuals who will perform analysis on billing and operational reporting, while working closely with the functional area leaders and reporting back results in an effective way for use across the overall business.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading a team in reconciling COR billed actuals and Operational expectations of COR expense
- Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with key business partners including but not limited to accounting, operations, telco audit, treasury, tax, cross-functional FP&A team members (revenue/SG&A), and other business teams to deliver accurate and meaningful performance updates
- Work with Operations, Accounting and Telco audit to evaluate key areas of improvement and their impacts to financials
- Provide detailed analysis of financial COR expense at various levels and synthesize findings to help drive improved COR forecasting
- Presentation of variance monthly to Leadership
- Create process efficiencies to help drive greater productivity
- Lead team in analyzing data, assignment of work and Financial KPIs
- Provide analytical review of circuit level inventory
- Lead communications and status reporting to internal partners of assigned projects
- Prepare and consolidate slide decks for various presentations & team reviews
- Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with key business partners to deliver accurate and meaningful updates, as it relates to the assigned projects
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 8+ years of related experience in Telco Expense
- Strong financial acumen and business judgment
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Data analysis experience
- Effective communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) with an ability to explain sophisticated issues in an understandable way across all levels, including executive leadership
- Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional business partnering relationships
- Excellent organizational skills, with extreme attention to detail, accuracy and accountability
- Comfortable with changing requirements and priorities & able to multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
- Proficiency with Office Suite applications, especially Excel
- Telecommunications background a plus
- Lead team in training and problem solving
- Provide expertise in system and process developments
