GreenLeaf, Bay Area’s leading produce and specialty food distributor serving over 1000 of the greater SF Bay Area’s finest restaurants, hotels, caterers, and corporations is seeking an Account Specialist to join our Inside Sales Team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for produce and specialty food products, excellent communication and customer service skills, and a desire to grow as an Inside Salesperson.
This position provides lots of upside potential to the right person who wants to develop their career with the company over time.
Skills:
Produce and specialty food product knowledge Accurate and efficient order entry Data analysis – be able to read and understand sales reports Project management Ability to effectively make product recommendations and close the sale Excellent written and verbal communication skills Problem solving; must be able to overcome challenging situations by finding the win-win solution Project management; manage short and longer-term projects with targeted objectives, milestones, and goals Attention to detail Qualifications :
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales or customer service role Relevant restaurant or food industry experience Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, flexible environment; be able to quickly react to customer needs and to also influence a chef’s buying behavior when needed Excellent time management and organizational skills Comfort and proficiency in business applications (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, CRM) Shift:

30am-4:
00pm; may vary based on business needs.
This is a full-time position.

Order entry – Must be able to enter live call and email orders efficiently and accurately Communicate professionally and effectively with customers and fellow employees Anticipate product and service issues before they arise; inform customers about product shortages and other service issues; provide substitute options and increase order size via suggestive selling Collaborate with internal departments:
Customer Service, Operations, Delivery, and Buying to ensure that customers’ needs are met Existing account development:
Must be able to anticipate and/or solve problems as they arise, and at the same time build business in existing accounts by making compelling product presentations and selling on value Support the sales department with additional projects or tasks as needed.
This requires the ability to manage long-term projects with specific processes, milestone, and goals.
