Director of Finance Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required
- 3-4 years of previous accounting and finance management experience preferably in a hotel finance environment
- Previous Assistant Director of Finance experience is preferred
- . Ability to creatively execute against the strategy and drive results
- Ability to take constructive action without relying on directions from others
- Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
- Effective influence skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Strong customer and associate relation skills
Director of Finance Requirements:
- Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
- Manage accounting team and ensure prompt and accurate full cycle bookkeeping
- Review, approve and complete all balance sheet reconciliation
- Advice General Manager and the executive team all financial matters
- Prepare month-end and year-end statements
- Prepare and submit all tax payments and filings
- Participate in a year-end outside audit
- Communicate with ownership, management, and onsite leadership
- Ensure the proper execution of payroll
