GL Housing Group LLC is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join our growing team Cleveland, Ohio (44115)
Job Summary:
Works closely with Accounting Team in the property management division to ensure quality of financial reporting ensuring the process is followed properly as well as project timelines are met.
Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions.
Primary duties will include the full cycle of accounting duties for multiple properties including processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (coding and data entry), cash management, bank reconciliations, posting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements.

Requirements and Working Conditions:
Accounts Payable: Codes payables, check runs, timely payments to vendors and ensuring that the correct general ledger accounts are debited or credited accordingly
Maintaining supporting documentation as ready reference of any recorded transaction
Reconciling monthly bank statements and assisting in monitoring cash flow
Reconciling all accounts periodically
Checking financial reports and records for accuracy
Preparing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and yearly financial statements
Assisting with preparation for audits
Assisting in the development of the annual budget of the company and monitoring the budget
Helping to organize work flow and verifying accuracy of work
Filing of all accounting records
Ability to operate calculator, computer, and other general office equipment.
Maintaining the financial records of all entities using accounting softwares, Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English.
Must be able to keep matters strictly confidential.
Owners or management may request periodic reports, such as Real Estate Tax review of properties, insurance policy payment tracking and utility cost reviews of properties.
Willing to work on different projects/multi-tasking
Ability to work with more than one person
Cross Training with Supervisor to accomplish department goals as needed

Ability to meet deadlines
Should be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, the ability to work within a collaborative environment, strong attention to detail and can manage time and multiple tasks effectively.
Accounting Experience
Accounting Software Experience (in RealPage & Quickbooks a plus)
Must be proficient with Word and Excel.
Data Entry Skills

Dependable
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in finance and/or accounting.
Accounting Software Experience in Yardi Property Management or RealPage and Quickbooks

Accounting Software: RealPage and Quickbooks.
PC-based software such as Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
10-Key/ Adding machine
Training Required:
Must become familiar with property management processes and procedures for the Management Company portfolio and HUD regulation
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary commensurate with experience
