An established accounting firm located in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team. The company offers assurance, business management, tax services, and more.
The ideal candidate has excellent client-facing skills and is experienced in preparing tax returns. The Tax Manager is responsible for supervising a team of 2 and meeting with clients.

Responsibilities:
Leading, managing and holding people accountable
Understand and assist in the execution of growth strategies (research calls, pipeline management, COPs, etc.)
Manage the engagement project management, billing, ensures QC standards
Take care of the client (meets deadlines, timely communication)
Efficiently review engagement work papers and tax returns for Partnerships and high-net-worth individuals
Effective at supervising and training staff to prepare returns
Develop expertise in responding to tax authority notices and
Manage client accounts including billing, fee analysis, and new service development
Provide effective feedback to mentors and supervisory, senior, and staff accountants
Research complex tax matters and clearly communicate findings and recommendations
Meet challenging client requirements and provide exceptional service
Consistently display excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
Identify new business development opportunities and assist in growing existing client services
Qualifications:
Extensive experience preparing tax returns
5
years of relevant experience
CPA required
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
Master’s degree in tax preferred
Experience with Thomson Reuters is a plus
