Job Description CFO/ Controller– $70,000-$80,000 – Morganton, NC The Role Are you an Accounting or Finance professional looking to steer your career towards exciting new horizons? We are a Morganton, NC based family-owned boat dealership, looking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated CFO/ Controller to our growing team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping our financial strategy and operations. Your responsibilities will extend to overseeing financial planning, risk management and providing valuable insights to the executive team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting functions.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the owner and members of the leadership team.
- Manage the processes for financial forecasting, budgets, and pro-forma creation.
- Advise on long-term business and financial planning.
- Prepare, analyze, and present Profit/Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Perform risk management assessments.
- Establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners.
- Collaborate with accounting firm during tax preparation time.
- Responsible for all AR/AP administrative functions (opportunity to add a bookkeeper with growth of the business).

The Person
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance will be expected for this role:
- An MBA or CPA is a strong plus.
- 10 years’ experience in the finance industry a plus but more junior candidates considered.
- Must display a strong aptitude for interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to engage with staff at all levels of the organization and exercise sound judgment.
