Responsibilities:
Job Summary: The responsibility of the Director, Finance Operations is to manage supply chain costs and plant and co-manufacturing controllership functions, including operational metrics, cost accounting, co-manufacturing rates, logistics analysis, inventory management, capital projects and driving a deep understanding of costs, cost drivers and cost control opportunities with the plant and supply chain finance teams. This leader will support senior supply chain management with analysis and financial information, act upon analysis to maintain high quality standards, improve upon operational efficiencies, and drive supply chain performance, continuous improvement, and cost savings initiatives. The successful employee will provide leadership in the development of policies, systems, inventory management, internal controls and all manufacturing and co-manufacturing accounting and financial procedures. This leader will be an active member of the Operation Leadership Team and must bring a broad-based business acumen to their role.
Primary Responsibilities:
Fully responsible for supply chain costs of our Milk, Snack, and Meals and Sides businesses both individually and in consolidation including raw and pack materials, inbound logistics, plant and co-manufacturing operating expenses, warehouse, transportation, and capital project justification.
Supervise and develop a team of six, including plant controller and cost analyst for Snacks, plant finance manager and factory accountant for Milk, finance manager Meals and Sides supply chain and a logistics analyst.
Analyze monthly operational metrics and present findings and recommendations to senior supply chain management.
Drive best in class financial practices across manufacturing, co-manufacturing, and logistics network.
Establish and maintain organization’s manufacturing accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
Responsible for annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, monthly mid-month reviews, and all financial reporting of supply chain financial results.
Lead monthly meetings and review schedules with corporate finance and supply chain teams.
Analyze manufacturing and co-manufacturing cost trends with comparisons to budgets and forecast and recommend areas for improvement.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain organization.
Work closely with supply chain team to achieve business objectives through efficient cost control.
Work closely with director of private label sales to drive private label pricing and cost strategies.
Work closely with procurement management on commodity trends, supplier contracts, and hedging activity.
Work closely with supply chain and marketing teams on product innovation, pricing studies, and alternative formulations for cost savings initiatives.
Develop, maintain and implement effective audit and internal control procedures.
Manage a multi-million-dollar capital projects budget, including strategic planning, forecasting, and ROI/payback analysis.
Acts as a key financial resource for EVP of Supply Chain and his team, including integral involvement in strategic decision making and project management.
Key leader in Monthly Business Planning meetings, bringing key business performance insights to the operations and supply chain teams.

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, economics or business (Masters Degree preferred)
10+ years of relevant experience strongly desired
Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures
Understanding of ERP systems and ability to leverage these tools to drive cost transparency
Extensive experience and ability to plan and accomplish goals
