Duluth, Minnesota, United States Looking for Accounting Associate I – Hybrid at permanent Full Time

Full Job Description

This position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement
based on ALLETE’s needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the
employee’s position will be a blend of work performed both in-person
and at an offsite location such as an employee’s home office. This
position will report to Duluth, MN.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Research, analyze,
  coordinate, and process clerical or administrative accounting work,
  including ensuring accounting transactions, invoices, entries,
  billings, and balances are complete and accurate to meet schedules,
  deadlines and accounting/regulatory standards.
• Create,
  develop, and analyze manual and computerized reports/spreadsheets.
• Provide information, procedural assistance, and training to
  others.
• Coordinate and process computerized systems to
  ensure reliable and available accounting data, participating in
  enhancements, changes, testing and/or implementation of computer
  systems.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent PLUS a two year
  vocational certificate with accounting coursework
  OR
  
• Associate’s degree in accounting

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• No
  experience required

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires good communication skills to
  establish and maintain positive working relationships
• This
  position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or
  aptitude.
